Medical care for torture victims or survivors, who can present with physical effects which usually range from early to late effects. We, therefore run an Outpatient medical Centre with competent health professionals including Doctors, nurses, and Physiotherapists. They cover emergency, rehabilitative, long-term, diagnostic, palliative, and medication care.
Mental Health and Psychosocial Support - As a result of Torture / Violence, be it physical, emotional, sexual, or psychological, survivors may present with mental symptoms.
We have a team of psychologists to provide appropriate counselling services. Social work - through various livelihood interventions, the social workers facilitate survivors in improving their quality of life, restoring lost hope, rebuilding social relations, regaining a purposeful life, and fostering community integration.
Legal Assistance - ACTV is registered by the Uganda Law Council as a Legal Aid Service Provider to extend Legal Aid to indigent persons; with focus on survivors of torture, violence (sexual, physical, psychological, and other forms of violence).

Friday 8:00am - 3:00pm
